Hole #10 Bunker Renovation

This week we completed our first bunker renovation of the 2011 season.  Our efforts to begin bunker renovations earlier this season were delayed for a variety of reasons.  The wet spring that forced us to focus our efforts on catching up on mowing and other routine practices quickly turned into a hot summer in which we spent much of our time handwatering and tending to heat related turf issues.  In any event, the green side bunker on hole #10 was by far in the worst shape as it related to drainage and playability.  We used the exact same methods that were used in previous seasons, that over the course of the last two years have proved to be highly effective and successful.  Below are several photos of the renovation process and the finished product.

More of the removal process.  In all we removed approximately 25 tons of sand.
